The hot water or steam generated in the waste heat boiler can directly provide the required heat energy for industrial production and people's lives, or it can be converted into mechanical energy through a steam power device, or the mechanical energy can be converted into electrical energy through a generator. The boiler that provides hot water is called a hot water boiler, which is mainly used for life and has a small number of applications in industrial production. The boiler that produces steam is called a steam boiler, often referred to as a boiler, and is mostly used in thermal power plants, ships, locomotives and industrial and mining enterprises.
Based on the analysis of the reasons for steam carrying water and its influencing factors, the steam-water separation device should consider:
(1) The local load increase of the evaporation surface of the drum and the steam space should be avoided as much as possible, so that the steam can pass through the water surface and be led out evenly.
(2) The kinetic energy of the steam-water mixture entering the drum should be effectively weakened to mitigate its impact on the water surface.
(3) The steam-water mixture should have a sharp and tortuous flow path to fully utilize the centrifugal and inertial separation effects. In addition, attention should be paid to promptly guide the separated water away to prevent it from being carried by steam again.
(4) Create a large amount of water film surface area to adhere to more water droplets, etc.
At the same time, when designing the waste heat boiler steam-water separation device, the water circulation condition should also be considered to ensure that its resistance is not too large. Attention should also be paid to the convenience of manufacturing, installation and maintenance.
